The last time Knapsack played a NYC show was way back in 1996 with tour mates At The Drive-In, and last night, The Music Hall of Williamsburg brought in a packed house with a mix of young and old, who were all ready to hear the words of the band’s frontman Blair Shehan. Formed in 1993 by Shehan and Colby Mancasola, Knapsack only released three albums before going their separate ways in 1999. This fall they kicked off a string of reunion shows to mark the 15th Anniversary of the influential California band’s final U.S. tour. At MHoW, Knapsack played a set consisting of two songs from their first album Silver Sweepstakes and almost everything off of their last two records, Day Three of My New Life and The Conversation is Ending Starting Now. “Please Shut of the Lights” – the final track on The Conversation – was performed live for the first time ever giving the crowd what they came out for.
